The first cruise on the ship will be a VIP sailing on May 12, following the inaugural cruise on May 14. After sailing onboard the Paradise the first time, I was intrigued to see how Margaritaville At Sea had improved since 2022. It was our honor to be hosted onboard by Margaritaville at Sea, and while we were invited onboard, all of these opinions are genuinely my own. On the second night of the cruise, I choose to dine at the buffet.

For light drinkers, note that Oceania cruise deals already include items like soft drinks, bottled water and specialty coffees within base cruise fares. An Alcohol-Free Package includes zero proof cocktails, fresh fruit and protein cocktails, energy drinks, sodas, hot drink selections and soft serve ice cream. The package is not applicable in specialty restaurants or signature venues.
Drink Packages
Guests must be 21+ to purchase The Ultimate Beverage Chill package. If one guest in a stateroom purchases an Ultimate Beverage Chill package, all guests 21+ within the stateroom must purchase this package. The Ultimate Beverage Chill is non-transferable and benefits may not be shared with other guests or family members. Soft drink is served by the glass (16 ounces); juice is served by the glass (10 ounces). If drink is greater than $20 limit, guest must pay the difference.

With 658 staterooms and 14 decks, the older ship wouldn’t be confused for today’s enormous cruise ships, but still has plenty to offer. The Easy Plus Package includes everything in the Easy Package, plus a variety of frozen and classic cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, a wider selection of beers, as well as a discount on bottles of wine. The Easy Plus Package can also be used in specialty restaurants, though not in signature venues. Passengers sailing Windstar Cruises tend to favor the all-inclusive approach so all drinks, service charges and Wi-Fi is bundled into the pre-cruise fare.

The Captain's Exclusive Beverage Package includes the same beer and wine offerings with the addition of Champagne by the glass, cordials, cocktails and mini bar selections. The Minors Package includes mocktails and all the same selections as the adult Alcohol-Free Package. This package is usable everywhere except specialty restaurants and signature venues. The Premium Extra Package includes all drinks by the glass, including more premium brands and champagne. This package is available to use everywhere except signature venues.

The package for children and teenagers aged 4 to 17 does not include alcoholic beverages. Top-shelf brands and cabin minibar items are excluded from the My Drinks package. The package does not apply to drinks in souvenir glasses or via room service. The complimentary restaurant is the large main dining room, Fins. This venue looks like a pretty typical main dining room on a cruise ship. We suspect this restaurant was not updated much during the refurb.

I was prepared for the unexpected and boarded the ship with an open mind to see what the brand brought to the high seas. Unvaccinated guests are still required to provide proof of a negative antigen COVID-19 test taken no more than one day before the sailing. Jeffy, the cruise director, and his Fins Up Crew, were high energy and visible throughout the vessel. Right next door to the pizzeria, there is the Margaritaville Coffee Shop. This venue serves up espresso-based drinks, along with sweet treats. Items like croissants, cinnamon buns, doughnuts, and ice cream are all an up-charge. The wife’s chicken entrée was your typical steakhouse selection, while my filet was tender and cooked medium-rare as ordered. The banana cream pie and key lime pie desserts were both quite tasty as well.
